Hockey Art by Michael Slotwinski

Michael sent me a link to his website: Slots Art Studio. Michael has several works of art in the galleries on his site, and quite a few pieces for the hockey enthusiast. Most of his works are goalies, particularly their masks, he has some really nice pieces here, my favorite probably being Bernie Parent due to the lighting and use of shadows and less for the subject matter (not a flyers fan) he makes Parent look more intimidating than he already was for opposing shooters . Be sure to check out his site and browse yourself. Thanks for linking us to your website Michael!

Here are a few of my favorites from his site...

Martin Brodeur

SportsNic's part 2

Kevin sent in more of his SportsNics collection these are from his 09 collection featuring the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils. There are more of these to come from each team from Kevin and for as many as he has and the simplistic design of the characters to the fine detail in the logos/equipment each one is a different pose.

2012 Playoffs Pathers Vs. Devils

The Devils eliminated the Panthers tonight in game 7. This has been another back and fourth series with both teams giving up multiple goal leads with most games within 1 goal, it's been a great 1st round now onto the next! So here are the goaltenders of the series Florida's Jose Theodore and New Jersey's Martin Brodeur.

Mini Goalie Mask: New Jersey Devils

I remember collecting those mini goalie mask key chains but didn't care for just the team logo printed on the top so I got inspired to paint a design based on the team logo on each mask. no these are from years ago (early 2000's I think) so some logos will be outdated but i think some of them are pretty cool. Here's number 9, The New Jersey Devils mini goalie mask.

NHL logos made of food....yes thats right food

Scott sent in his really fun and different way to look at the NHL team logos, by depicting them in edible form, what he calls Foogos. below are some of my favorites. what makes this even better is that the choice for the type of food to use is linked to either the city or team. He hopes to create one for each NHL team, I know I'll be keeping an eye on this and will post any updates on new foogos from Scott. check out more logos at his site http://foo-gos.com/

Playoffs: Devils v. Hurricanes

Playoffs again! I like the Pens again out of the East. The west is a little tougher, I'm gonna take a chance on the Blackhawks for a good final series. This is a tough match up the defensive Devils vs. the offensive Hurricanes, who have a pretty hot goalie. I'm gonna take the Canes in 6.
