2014 Playoffs New York Rangers vs Philadelphia Flyers

This is probably the 1 series this playoff I have paid attention to the least. It does seem like an exciting series, both teams are playing hard and I loved Carcillo's goal and subsequent fan reaction to the goal in game 3. I picked the Rangers in 6 games and it could still happen but the way it's going so far and with Steve Mason back in goal for the Flyers it could go 7, I still like the Rangers.

Dave sent me a link to his website The Wilkinson Gallery with images of his work, he has different types of artwork posted and of several different sports. As far as hockey related work there's mostly Philadelphia Flyers art work, pretty cool to browse around. Of all the hockey related artwork he has on his site, these two where my favorite ones. He has a great style to most of his work a few little effects to push the art into something more alive and organic.

2012 Playoffs Penguins Vs. Flyers

Well this series has been the most talked about series of round 1. The goal-tending has been awful for both teams and I have to think if Fleury is able to play as well as he normally does the Penguins would've already won the series, but the only dimension of either team that has played well in this series is the offense. I believe the turning point of this series is the blown off sides call on Briere in game 1, although not the only reason the Penguins lost that game, it certainly changed the style of play both teams played during the rest of the game, Flyers were within 2 and Penguins were playing prevent defense, and after the comeback the Flyers had all the momentum which gave the flyers belief whenever they get down they could always come back...unless the Penguins score 10 somehow, that would be pretty tough, but not impossible in this series.

Mini Goalie Mask: Philadelphia Flyers

I remember collecting those mini goalie mask key chains but didn't care for just the team logo printed on the top so I got inspired to paint a design based on the team logo on each mask. no these are from years ago (early 2000's I think) so some logos will be outdated but i think some of them are pretty cool. NHL Playoffs round 2: Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins

This series could come to an end tonight as Boston holds a 3-0 series lead. It has been a bit of a let down the Flyers haven't yet come to show up, with only one close game. From a Sabres fan, you're welcome Boston for the Sabres taking so much out of the Flyers in our 7 game series. So here is the Flyer's James van Riemsdyk and the Bruins Nathan Horton.

The series I mostly will be into Starts tonight when the Flyers host the Sabres here are the starting goalies for the series Sergei Bobrovsky and Ryan Miller.

NHL logos made of food....yes thats right food

Scott sent in his really fun and different way to look at the NHL team logos, by depicting them in edible form, what he calls Foogos. below are some of my favorites. what makes this even better is that the choice for the type of food to use is linked to either the city or team. Today I want to post some work from Chris Tucci. He has some really gorgeous work! He mainly uses the technique “stippling”, Stippling is really tedious because it consists of millions of tiny ink dots. While it is tedious, it produces some beautiful results as you can see and you can get a lot of detail which is a big deal when it comes to hockey art.
